The purpose of this book is to describe the theory of digital power electronics and their applications. The authors apply the digital control theory to energy electronics in a completely different way than the conventional analog control scheme. To apply the digital control theory to energy electronics, the authors identify a number of new parameters, including power factor, pumping power, stored energy, constant time, and damping time stability. These parameters differ from traditional parameters such as power factor, power transfer efficiency, ripple factor, and complete harmonic distortion. These new parameters lead to the definition of new mathematical modeling.
